The 'General Data Protection Regulations' (GDPR) require us to have a
Privacy Policy that governs how we store and process information we hold
about you.
What information do we hold?
If you have made a booking with us at Suidhe farm Cottages (SFC), we will
hold some or all of the following information about you: Name, Postal
Address (including post code/zip code and country), Telephone Number, Mobile
(cell) phone number, e-mail address.
Why do we hold that information?
We hold this information to help us meet our contractual obligations to
you - to contact you about your booking and payments, and to provide the
services that you request for your stay.
We are required to retain historical information in order to meet
certain legal obligations, such as for accounting and tax reporting
purposes. We also retain information to make us aware of customers that have
booked with us in the past, and to better target our on-line advertising. We
do not make use of the information we hold for direct marketing purposes.
What legal basis do we have for holding the information?
Consent: We may hold that information through your consent, for
example when you tick a box to agree our terms and conditions.
Contractual Obligations: We may need your
personal data to handle your booking.
Legal Obligations: The law may require us to
collect and process your data.
Who has access to that information?
The staff of SFC have access to the information. We do not share the
information with anybody else or with any other organization, except as we
may be required to do so by law.
How do we store that information, and for how long?
The information is held on a secure digital database and in some cases,
on paper records. We take reasonable steps to ensure that there is no
unauthorised access to that data. We retain this information in our records
for no longer than 10 years, after which time it is deleted or shredded as
appropriate.
What are your rights?
You have the right to know what information we hold about you, and the
purposes for which we use it. Where that information is being held on the
basis of your consent, you have the right to ask for that information to be
removed from our database.
